Joe Obed is an Inuit and has written a bit about himself.... he is from "Hopedale Labrador. Born and raised there. Been carving since 1999. I work with stone and antler. It's all hand carved and original work. I have work ranging from animals to drum-dancers. Sold my work around the world."
Joe says he has sold overseas work mostly in Germany, Japan and England among other countries.
Inuit and Eskimos are the same tribe.... Eskimo refers to the people of this tribe living in Alaska - it is USA "spelling". Inuit refers to the people of the tribe who live in the very northern part of Canada.
Joe's photo shows him with part of a moose horn/antler which he uses in some of his sculptures.
